Throughout time man has tried to figure out where he came from and where he would go after death. The answer has been available for centuries in the Bible. In fact, the answers to all life’s mysteries are found in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible says in John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the father but by me.” The truth is very simple to understand, the only way that we can enter into heaven is through the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. The question is how can we do that?

The Bible gives us a clear answer to that question in John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die in our place upon the cross. But why would Jesus have to die in our place?

The answer is found in Romans 3:23. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” This simply means no one is perfect, and we have all sinned before God. The Bible also says that because we have sinned we deserve to pay a price. In Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death...” The price for our sin is death and death is eternal separation from God, in a place the Bible calls hell. So because of our sinfulness we have no way to get into heaven on our own. So what can we do?

God has made a way for us to be able to get into heaven. In Romans 5:8 “God comendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ Died for us.” Then He says in Romans 6:23b. “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Friend the choice is yours, knowing that we all sin and deserve to pay a price for our sin and cannot get into heaven on our own. All we can do is accept the gift of God which is eternal life through Jesus Christ. God says in Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” If you would like to accept Christ as your savior all you need to do is simply pray in your own words to God something like this:

“Dear Jesus I know that you died on the cross for my sin and rose again from the dead. Please come into my life and forgive me of my sin and give me a home in heaven for eternity. I am trusting in you alone as my savior and accepting your gift of eternal life. Thank you in Jesus name Amen.”
